GUSSADI

 

This Documentary film showcases Gussadi which is part of Dandari, comes at a time when the tribes are chasing birds from their crops. Like almost all other activities in the life of the adivasi Gonds, Kolams, Thotis, pardons and Andhs, the sacred dances of Dandari and Ghussadi are associated with farming. It is a celebration that keeps away chaos and reinforces the alliances of marriage. These simple tribal folk have been tenaciously preserving and performing their fascinating and enchanting ethnic dances in spite of onslaughts of modern civilization.
